* If this is your first time applying a CGM, please refer to the instructions in the welcome email.

1. Where should I apply my CGM?

Before you reapply the new CGM, you would want to find the best place to apply the sensor. The best placement is usually:

  • On your non-dominant arm

  • On the backside of your arm

  • A few inches away from the armpit

  • Has more skin than muscle

2. How do I apply my new CGM?

It’s very similar to the first time you apply your CGM. You would want to follow the steps below:

  • Make sure the area you want to apply your CGM is clean: clean the area with soap and water. Wipe the spot where you’ll place your CGM with the alcohol wipe and let it dry.

  • Prepare the sensor applicator: First, peel the lid completely off the sensor pack and unscrew the cap from the sensor applicator. Then you would want to place the sensor applicator into the open sensor pack and line up the dark mark on the applicator with the mark on the pack. Last but not least, on a hard surface press down firmly on the sensor applicator until it comes to a stop.

  • Apply the sensor: Place the sensor applicator over the cleaned spot on your arm and press down firmly to get the sensor in place. Check to make sure it’s secure once applied.

  • Place your patch: We highly recommended wearing a patch over your CGM. While the device is water resistant and sweat resistant, the patch provides extra protection to make sure that the device stays in place over the next 14 days. Simply place the patch directly over your CGM and you’re good to go.

3. I have reapplied my new CGM, how do I know the CGM is working correctly?

The CGM is working correctly if you can scan your CGM in the Librelink app and get a

notification that the sensor will be ready in 60 minutes. Then, connect your CGM by  going to the Track section of the January app and tapping “Start a new CGM.” If you have any other questions, please contact our customer support team for further assistance. If your CGM is not working properly, please contact our customer support team for further help.

4. I want to change my adhesive patch, but I am worried that if I try to take it out, the CGM could be dislodged. What should I do?

You can apply additional over-bandages during the usage period if you need it, but do not remove any over-bandages you have already applied until the sensor is ready for removal.
