Many data points contribute to our AI’s ability to estimate your glucose curve and project it two hours into the future, including heart rate data, food logging, activity level, and glucose. That’s why we require you to wear a CGM and activity tracker for the first 14 days in the app. This provides us with a large enough data sample to understand your body in a way that we can estimate your glucose curve, based on your activity and eating habits.
It’s not necessary, but some people like to recalibrate their AI every 3 months to keep the model consistent with their latest eating and exercise habits. For example, if you were to cut meat from your diet and exercise 25% more, that would be inconsistent with how we modeled your initial behavior. In cases like this, recalibrating the AI ensures the most accurate modeling over time.
