- Sometimes, the CGM needs a day or two to adjust to your body to accurately read your levels. It still might be in the process of calibrating your body. After a few days, it might be read more accurately.
- Rather than measuring blood like a finger prick system, the 14 Day FreeStyle Libre sensor measures a thin layer of fluid that surrounds the cells of a tissue below the skin called interstitial fluid.
- Because glucose in the blood takes time to make its way into the interstitial fluid, there might be some lag time between the FreeStyle Libre sensor reading and a blood prick reading. However, when blood glucose levels are stable, the FreeStyle Libre reading will be very similar to a blood glucose reading.
- If you are concerned about your health at any time based on the CGM readings, please contact your primary care physician or urgent care immediately. If, for any reason, a medical professional instructs you to remove the device, please do so, then contact our support team for additional help.
