Before you apply your CGM, you will want to find the best place to apply the sensor. The best placement is usually:

  • On your non-dominant arm

  • On the backside of your arm

  • A few inches away from the armpit

  • Has more skin than muscle

Once you’ve got the right spot:

  • Make sure the area you want to apply your CGM is clean: clean the area with soap and water. Wipe the spot where you’ll place your CGM with the alcohol wipe and let it dry. Click here for video instruction.

  • Prepare the sensor applicator: First, peel the lid completely off the sensor pack and unscrew the cap from the sensor applicator. Then you would want to place the sensor applicator into the open sensor pack and line up the dark mark on the applicator with the mark on the pack. Last but not least, on a hard surface press down firmly on the sensor applicator until it comes to a stop. Click here for video instruction.

  • Apply the sensor: Place the sensor applicator over the cleaned spot on your arm and press down firmly to get the sensor in place. Check to make sure it’s secure once applied. Click here for video instruction.

  • Place your patch: We highly recommend wearing a patch over your CGM. While the device is water resistant and sweat resistant, the patch provides extra protection to make sure that the device stays in place over the next 14 days. Simply place the patch directly over your CGM and you’re good to go.
